Aren't Baptists just one of those sects?

Definitely not! Baptists are one of the major global Christian groups. It is one of the largest protestant denominations. There are approximately 50 million Baptists affiliated to the World Baptist Alliance, and millions more are linked to other similar organisations.

Baptist churches in our area are part of the Eastern Baptist Association, and nationally, with the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
